Painting With A Twist!

My friend Tiffany, had this great idea that we needed a Date Night at Painting With A Twist!  I have been wanting to do this for what has seemed like YEARS, so the thought of doing it with great couple friends sounded awesome to me.  Richard was such a good sport... (this is soooo not his thing, but he had a good time too I think!)  So, the group of us who have kids at the same sitter, plus another sweet couple decided that we would all join in.  Basically, there is this studio with an instructor who leads you through (step by step) of a painting of your choice.  The whole group paints the same picture and they all turn out similar but with your own "twist"... not to mention the fun is enhanced with lots of adult beverages and snacks.  You bring whatever you like, wear whatever you want, talk and laugh with friends, listen to fun music and leave with your painting -- What a FANTASTIC night!

We met at Michelle and Justin's casa first, and then headed to the studio for some grown-up fun!

Great minds think alike!

Here are some pictures of our night!!!

Just half of the spread...
 The whole gang!
You can't tell it here, but there is excitement written all over his face...
You crack me up Tiff - Papa Bear, Momma Bear and Baby Bear brushes...
Richard was super excited for his tutoring...

 Step 1 - looking good!
LOVE these girls - Katie and Michelle having fun!
These boys were saying something about using just the tip, always wanting the bottom thicker, and blowing the pictures dry... some art tips they picked up during the class!
 Step 2
 Step 3
Me and the hubs - they turned out great!!!
Trying to decide where to hang them...

 Just the ladies...
 and those silly boys!
Yippee - they all turned out soooo good!
Too bad you can't see Chris'... it actually was very good - he is the artist of the group!

You know, Richard and I always have fun with whatever we do... but it was really great to mix it up a bit and do something we would have NEVER thought of actually doing.  The group we went with was just the best --- such a HYSTERICAL group of people, which just made the night.

If you haven't visited Painting With A Twist, you should really consider checking it out...
it surely was a night to remember!

  1. I'm shocked you hadn't done this before as you're super talented! I loved your painting & I hope you find the perfect spot for it! For now, ours are above our kitchen cabinets.
