Beach Bums

So I could totally live the life of a beach bum... well, with shopping, a shower, hot meals.  Okay, maybe only a few days a week, but on our vacation last week we all felt like it!  We went on our annual trip after school got out to lovely Cocoa Beach, Fl to visit with my family (Mimi and Papa).  We didn't get to see Uncle Craig because he is overseas right now in Italy.  Yeah for him, boo for us!  The trip was a HUGE success... meaning nobody vomited all over anybody!  (see last Thanksgiving post if you are confused as to why I mention this disgustingness... I digress...)

Our week was filled with family time, beach, pool, good food, naps, more beach, shell collecting, brunch at the club, playing with Mimi and Papa, more beach and pool, Sea World, a seafood dinner out, more beach and pool, etc.  Do you get my point?!?  We went to the beach and pool every single day (9 days) except for the day we went to Sea World!  What a FUN and relaxing week.  Oh yeah, and Daddy played golf with Papa a few days and we got to spend one day with Cousin Jules.

I took lots and lots of pictures... sorry in advance.  (FYI-- Sea World will be it's own post.)  "Funny" little tidbit - I brought white linen beach shirts and khaki shorts for the boys to wear and was planning on a family photo shoot.  We all got dressed up in our clothes and then it rained for the first time that week... and I mean poured.  So, after dinner when the rain had stopped we headed out for some evening pics... and my camera battery was dead.  The next day we were ready and then again, the rain clouds came in and another big rain storm.  Boo!  I guess the matching beach pics will have to wait for next year!  It just wasn't meant to be... the kids and hubby are probably secretly thrilled!
