Peter Pan, World Fest, Baseball, Race, Boys

Wednesday first grade headed to Casa MaƱana to see Peter Pan, which meant a field trip for Grady and Mommy!
Grady had fun with his group and the play was awesome!  He was somewhat bothered that the actor playing Peter was   a girl.  In his mind, that broke the rules.  He also told me the movie was better... go figure.

I considered it a success because nobody got lost and we were in the two buses without kids puking!  Our trip home was hot and full of traffic.  Fun times!

Friday night was World Fest at school (school carnival) and Grady and I had a date!  We ate, played games and Grady  played with friends while I worked a booth.  Our PTA did a great job- it was super fun!
The Wipeout course was his favorite!

Saturday Grady had a baseball game and played great... 2 home runs and the game ball!  Way to go Goose!!!
We also got a sneak peak at team pictures- so, so fun!!  The boys were supposed to make tough-guy faces.
Saturday evening I ran in the Running Moms Rock event with my ladies... It was great but the after-run was even better!!
Sunday night we met the Rabs for dinner!  As always, fun was had!

Boys will be boys...
The countdown until summer has begun... Summer, here we come!

Mimi and Papa and Easter

Mimi and Papa flew in for our long Easter weekend!  It was perfect timing with tax season ending and all of us having a three day weekend.  We had such a great time!

Daddy and Mommy had to work on Thursday, so Mimi and Papa had a day full of fun with the kids!

The weather was beautiful the whole weekend so we played and played and played outside.

We also dyed eggs with Mimi... Mimi is really good with messes.  I think she's slowly wearing off on me.  Reason number 1,234 that she's the best mother / Mimi EVER!

They got to see Grady's game... where he got his first homerun!!!

We took them out to eat at our favorite restaurant- Mi Dia!  They loved it as much as we do.  Cole was so good... He went potty at the restaurant twice and I think we've finally made it to "that" age... with a little help from cars and technology.

We opened Easter basket goodies...
(Richard renamed Easter, Christmas-light-ha)

I think the pooping bunny was the hit this year... Our Easter bunny has a wonderfully sick and twisted sense of humor.

We hunted eggs around the yard in our pajamas... because that's how we roll!

Cole really got into it this year!  Then , we headed to the club for brunch... it was so good.

 These two sillies...

My Grammy's irises bloomed while mom and dad were visiting... pretty appropriate I'd say.
Thank you Mimi and Papa for spending Easter with us this year - it was a wonderful time, as usual!

This and That

Last weekend Daddy worked a zillion hours and so naturally I decided to potty train Cole... because when things are crazy, make them crazier!  Ha!  Michelle was sweet enough to take Grady for the day on Saturday and I got to hang out with Cole and his potty.  He has done so well!  Dare I say we are (nearly) trained?!?
We celebrated lots of mini victories with lots of M & M's, cheap presents and cookies!  We've got #1 down and are doing great with #2... I'm giddy.

We stayed close to home... we played outside, watched movies, did sidewalk chalk...
Played with roly-polies...
And looked cute!
I love this little monkey!
Also, first grade had their singing performance and it was so cute!  We worked really hard.  The kids had fun and the parents loved it!

Grady's class wore exercise clothes...
It also happened to be the end of tax season!!!  Wahoo- welcome home Daddy!
We hung out in the closet during some storms... (thank goodness for technology)
I also tried a new recipe- pull apart pizza bread- Yummo!!
At the end of this tiring and stressful week (month) I found this sweet note at the end of the day.  I LOVE first graders!!!
