Baseball Boys

Both boys this year are on the Diamondbacks- Cole is playing Blastball and Grady is playing 8U.
Richard is coaching both teams, and President of the league so he pretty much lives at the fields or at meetings or on the phone.
Cole has loved Blastball (and the snacks) and he's pretty good.  I'm ready for T-ball...
Grady's teammates feel like family considering many of these kids have played together for 4 seasons and sweet Cole has grown to love the siblings.
With all the rain it's been such a weird season... We've had about 6 practices and 4 weekends of baseball cancelled.  55 out of 85 days we've had rain... ridiculous!

CAB had a little league night at the Frisco Rough Riders park.  We got rained on a bit but we had lots of fun anyway.
Grammy and Aunt Lana made it to one of our sunny game days.
This picture makes me smile.  When did he get so big?!?
Despite the rain, the boys have had so much fun.  They love their baseball and I love being a baseball mom!

A BUNCH of Stuff...

So because this is for journal/scrapbook purposes I feel his first (and hopefully ONLY) IV is worth documenting.  It all started with a stomach bug or food poisoning but ended with a trip to Acute kids and an IV.  Pitiful lil thing.  As a parent it's the worst thing in the world when you can't fix your sick kiddo and you have to trust somebody else to.  Luckily, this is so minor compared to what some people go through but still, super scary.

I did get some good snuggles though.
In a few days he was back to his perky self and at his first Blastball practice having a ball!  What a hoot - these kids are hysterical!
Open House also happened to fall during this crazy busy week and Grady impressed us with his fantastic work!

Flag football practice started as well.  Grady LOVES football!

Only a few more weeks of Tax Season and then we get Daddy back and Mommy can take a 3 day nap!

Birthday Fun on your Birthday, DAY!

Cole had loads of fun on his actual birthday.  All he requested was presents, a Leonardo cake and the following food items:  donuts, chicken nuggets, pickles, french fries and bacon.  When it's your birthday, why not?!?

This is what his plate looked like...
I think he loved his cake!

He was so proud when we sang to him... sweet boy.

Presents and hugs, and repeat.

 My life.

Super heroes of all sorts has been the theme this year for both of the boys.

Truth be told, they're my lil heroes.  We LOVE our boys!  Happy birthday Cole Merritt!

Easter 2015

For Easter this year we had lots and lots of rain.  We kept things simple.  We dyed eggs, hunted for eggs inside, opened our Easter basket goodies and ate a super yummy brunch at Via Real with Grammy.  Simple as it was, is was a day full of blessings and I spent the day thinking of how much love surrounds this special, special day.
