Cocoa Beach, here we come!! Typically we head out the day after school gets out but this year we had a baseball tournament obligation that we had to play in… That got rained out. Typical. Anyway, we headed it out Monday morning. Our kids are good travelers, thank goodness!
Apparently, we brought the rain with us from Texas. It rained I think six of the seven days that we were there but that's pretty typical Fl weather and we had at least a couple hours of sunshine each day! We also don't mind the beach with clouds and sprinkles, so rain or shine, we were there!
Cole was serious about his boogie boarding!
He had a huge smile on his face every second he was in the water. Swim lessons started in February this year for him and they have made all the difference in the world!
Pure joy- my little beach bum!
Boogie boarding just like big bro
Here are our vacation faces...
Cole would end up super far down the beach because of the current and we had to keep calling him out of the water and having him come back near us. Silly boy!
Brothers partaking in sand wars
They also rolled in the sand constantly
We went to the pool every day after the beach. Cole has become such a fish!
Late afternoon snuggles before dinner
We watched A LOT of Cardinals and Rangers baseball!
Grady picked up surfing again and once uncle Craig got there and gave him some refreshers he was AMAZING!
They designed a new cubbyhole underneath the family room coffee table! Crazy kids!
Baseball with Daddy on the beach...
Cole did a little schoolwork by practicing writing his first and last name in the sand.
Boogie boarding with a board upside down! Ha!
"I'm karate chopping the waves mom."
Sushi night! The presentation was so fancy. Yum!
Cole used his chopsticks to eat his chicken fingers… obviously!

We had
to take a trip to the famous Sugar Shack for morning donuts! Delish! Cousin Julie came too! Cole only destroyed a few sand castles... which thrilled Grady oh so much!
Mini photo shoot with mom - I bribed them with fro yo at I Dream of Yogurt... they did good!
We kayaked one morning on the Banana River and it was so much fun. We saw manatees, dolphins, osprey and fish. We had a great time!
We also got to watch a rocket launch. Talk about amazing! Not only did we see it but we got to hear it and feel it as well!
The boys also played golf with Papa and saw lots of gators!
Every year I think our trip can't get any better and yet it does. Thanks Mimi and Papa for such an amazing time!
