So when I take pictures of my 3 year old this is what I get.... he covers his eyes, makes funny faces and then sometimes cooperates if I bribe him with something. You might be thinking that bribery is wrong and I should not have to beg my 3 year old to take a picture. I totally agreed with you until about 3 years ago when I had Grady! I LOVE pictures and as a mommy you do what you have to do to get a few shots with them still, looking and smiling all at the same time. I remember thinking it was hard to get him to smile at 6 months and look at the camera... HA! For any of you who had or have a three year old boy, give me an amen! Off my soap-box and on to the post...
Anyway, our 4th was wonderful.... naps, swimming, playing with friends, yummy all-American food, Ranger's game, family time and a date night.
No pictures of date-night, sorry but we did go to Olive Garden for a more-than-30-minute meal WITH wine and dessert (may I add) and then to see The A-Team which was very entertaining! I love to get away every now-and-then and spend some time with my sweet husband and best friend -- love you Richard!
I want to remind you all of how much Grady has changed in the last few years...
And here are some pictures from this year!
Uncle Brian and Grammy came over to spend the evening with us. We cooked hamburgers, corn, deviled eggs, etc. YUMMY! We always have fun with FAMILY!
A YUMMY meal...
Watching fireworks at Fouts Field...
We also went to a Ranger's Game on Sunday. They lost but that didn't stop us from ...
Playing some games in the kids corner... or...
Getting tattoos of our favorite player... or...
Cheering for our favorite team... or... eating $1 ice cream!!!
The patriotic show before the game and the fabulous fireworks afterwards made the evening all the more special. There's nothing more "American" than baseball and we had a wonderful time spending our evening that way. We truly do feel so blessed and proud to be an American!
On Monday, Daddy was off work and we spent the whole day playing, playing and more playing! We had a special treat for breakfast... donuts.... and then went swimming at the neighborhood pool where we met Brody! The Vaughns came over that evening for some playtime and dinner and the boys had a super time. They cooked us a fruit pizza and played with Buzz Lightyear!!!
We hope all of you had a fabulous 4th of July and enjoyed spending time with family and friends reflecting on how lucky we are to be free and live in the USA!!!
Happy Birthday America!
