Saturday afternoon Grady had a double-header for baseball and I decided that another Mother's Day treat for ALL was a babysitter for Cole, considering the games were from 1:45-4:00... smack dab in the middle of nap-time. I actually got to watch Goose play ball and he did awesome!!!
Grady's favorite position hands down is first base, but also liked 3rd and made a really good back handed stop there as well.
Lil Man got the game ball for hitting 5 out of 6 times off Richard's pitches!
One was even a rockin double!
I was most proud though of him happily playing for the other team since they were short players and playing really well for them. Grady has grown up a lot in the past year...
Grady and Daddy went to a FC Dallas Soccer game with his soccer team that evening and Cole and I had a date. Cole's favorite thing right now is ice cream so I happily took him for some TCBY!
Sunday morning I awoke to little (loud) cheers of "Happy Mother's Day, Mommy", beautiful flowers, cards and a balloon.
Richard said Grady LOVED this card and yelled out, "My Mommy loves margaritas"at Kroger - Nice...
It also plays "Tequilla"... it just keeps getting better.
It's possible I should be embarrassed by this... oh well!
At least he'll know his Mommy has great taste...
The kids played outside in their pajamas - because you only live once and the weather was just beautiful!
Then, we all got dressed up and went to the club for Mother's Day brunch. We took Grammy Elaine with us. It was delicious! Most of all I liked not having to cook or clean up. :)
Best. Mother's Day. Picture. EVER!!!
My 3 handsome boys in blue
Cole was more cooperative on the stairs... happy screams are all good!
We realized that if you say "booger" instead of cheese Cole will smile.
Sad, but true.
One day I should write a book of "sad, but true" quotes from mommies... or "I will never do that (said the person with no children yet)" :)
This one will still pose for me... sweet boy.
I think the blueberry scones were the best thing I have ever had in my whole life... although I haven't eaten much sugar lately and so it's possible anything sweet might get that reaction from me!
Cole didn't pitch any fits and only yelled out 10-15 times...
I call it a success!!!
Since we were all dressed up I couldn't resist an attempt at some family pictures. This is always a challenge with children, especially a two year old! They really did turn out pretty cute!
We spent the rest of the day playing outside! I took a nap and layed in the sun... such a perfect way to spend Mother's Day! I LOVE you Richard for making it so special for me. Being a Mother is the very best thing on earth!!! A shout out to my Mom as well... love you Mom!!!
Laura, you look AWESOME! And I am so glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend.
