Happy Easter!

Easter morning Richard and Grady got up and went to church with Grammy.  While they were gone, Cole and I played until his nap and then I was a busy Momma preparing a yummy brunch for the whole crew to enjoy when they got back from church.

On the menu was: maple sausages, fruit salad, blueberry muffins, sausage and egg casserole and a homemade cinnamon roll cake that I got off of my newest time-suck/obsession Pinterest.  That cake was to-die-for.  I also made strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese icing that looked like spring flowers.  They turned out really cute!

I must have been so busy cooking that I didn't even notice the Easter Bunny dropping off goodies for the kiddos and hiding eggs in the yard.  What a fun surprise!!!

Cole had fun looking at his eggs, and carrying them around.
G kept trying to show him how to open them, but Cole didn't really care what was inside.

Cole loved his ELMO book and eggs...

This Easter bunny must be really cool because he managed to get Grady the very Ninjago person he wanted.  Talk about excited!!!
He must also have a good sense of humor...
(see golf ball inside of baseball egg)
 I love those death-grip hugs!
Here is a flashback from last year...
Amazing how much can change in a year!

After baskets inside we headed outside for the hunt.  Just in time too... it started to rain on us and just after we finished it started to pour!

Cole loved running around with the basket.  He also loved carrying around the eggs.
He however was not interested in putting the eggs in the basket!
G was a pro.  He informed us that he found all 29 eggs... and in like 3 minutes!
Next year the Easter Bunny is going to have to really hide some of those eggs!!!

Daddy was standing under the overhang trying to stay dry.
We then went inside to eat our yummy brunch.  Afterward, we took some family pictures.

 Grammy, Grady and Cole
G, Uncle Brian and Aunt Christina and C

 Aunt Lana and Uncle Curt
Wow - we are all looking and smiling!
It's a true Easter miracle...  ;)

So thankful to spend my day with the ones I love, celebrating Jesus.
Happy Easter everyone!
