I seriously feel like I am having de-ja-vu. We are deep in the middle of t-ball season with Saturday games, have a birthday party literally 4 Saturdays in a row, and love ice cream... uhm - yeah- that last one was a stretch but I guess you know what's important to this family. Soooo, this post feels a lot like the last couple of weekends... and now that I think of it, unless we plan some super new adventure... the next few weekend posts are all going to look v-e-r-y similar.
Cole is getting really good at walking, like so good he is officially a toddler good. He's been walking since just before 9 months, but recently he can walk really fast, carry things around the room while walking, and he's not falling nearly as much when surfaces change, etc. He's even starting to do this run/walk thing where he puts his hands up in the air, screams at the top of his lungs and walk/runs to us with a HUGE grin on his face. He's also still obsessed with doors. Opening and shutting, swinging them on the hinges and slamming his fingers occasionally. He also has added a few new words to his vocabulary. "Ruff, ruff" when he sees the dogs, "Doe" for door and "bye". It's very cute when he talks... one of the many things I just love to watch develop in kids is their speech... super amazing. It also looks like we've got these nasty allergies under control... although I still think the major issue was a cold on top of allergies. A little Zyrtec does wonders! (knock on wood) It seems to have also cleared up a tiny eczema spot on the inside of his right arm -- Fabulous! Maybe I should take it for weight loss... or rub it on my face for wrinkles. I kid... kind-of!
Grady is LOVING T-ball this season. He really gets it this time around! He has been fielding balls left and right and then runs to tag the base. It's cool that he knows where to go with the ball... it couldn't possibly be the 14 coaches/parents yelling to him where to throw it. But still, pretty amazing! We call him Kinsler... he pretends to be embarrassed but secretly loves it!
Friday night Richard and I had date night -- Hunger Games (which was awesome), Patrizios for some shellfish ravioli(yummo) and Walmart. I know, you were thinking we were pretty cool until I threw Walmart in there. I needed a new cell phone case. I drop my phone at least once a week and I broke my Otter case. Problem solved... I'm styling a new pink and purple case. Now you are thinking I'm fab again... I know. I was asleep by 10:30... on a Friday night...and back down to loser status again. I'm okay with it.
Saturday, after T-ball, was Jackson's 4th Birthday Party at The Arc in Coppell. What a great party! Grady and Cole had a super good time running around like crazy. Mommy enjoyed Daddy being there too and the place being empty... oh, yea... rented out just for the party guests. Score.
Right after the party, the girls went to see The Lucky One. It was a great chick-flick... let's just say that Zac Efron has grown up a little. It was super fun catching up with the girls without being interrupted 12,000 times.
Sunday was a chill-around-the-house-day and it was f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s! Have a mentioned how awesome it has been having Daddy back?!?
Happy Hump-Day! Until next weekend... for more T-ball, a birthday party and possibly an ice cream if you are lucky!
