This Thanksgiving we headed to Cocoa Beach to visit Mimi and Papa for the week. It was a perfect week and much better than Vomitgiving 2011! Ha!
Uncle Craig came too and Cousin Julie spent lots of time with us as well.
Our days consisted of golf, beach, hot tub, brunch, seeing Hunger Games and Free Birds, going to Disney and lots and lots of yummy food, afternoon naps, football games, and late night HGTV. We really couldn't have asked for a better week!
Our first beach day was pretty warm. It was beautiful!
While at Mimi and Papa's house Grady and Cole made up a game called "Bring it on, Brother." Basically it consists of wrestling, tackling, pushing, tripping, hitting, chasing and screaming until someone gets hurt. It's pretty awesome.
The boys have really started playing well together. ( Well, wrestling and bossing each other around, but still...)We had a couple windy cool days, which were perfect for digging in the sand, feeding the birds and collecting shells.
They absolutely love the beach, hot or cool, windy or rainy. I actually love the beach in sweats in November more than any other time of year!
Craig, Julie and I all ran the turkey trot. They are rockstar runners - super fast and I had a great time- beat my last PR by 6 minutes!
We went to Magic Kingdom on Tuesday. It was supposed to rain, but was just overcast and uncrowded- perfect!
Funny story- we stood in the longest line of the day to meet Buzz Lightyear for Cole. When we got up to him Cole screamed and cried. Go figure. Dad and Craig got a good laugh out of that!
Grady's favorite rides were Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. He has always been a dare devil.
Cole is a little more fearful. He did not enjoy Buzz or the teacups. He did love the cars, It's a Small World, Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean.
He also LOVED the Disney character show. He got to see Mickey, Donald and all of their friends. It was awesome!
They chose swords for their souveneer... seriously I'm not surprised. They've been sword fighting since we got back! Ha!
The castle was absolutely gorgeous lit up with Christmas lights. I'd say Disney is most magical at Christmas time!
Thanksgiving day was amazing as well. Delicious food, family fun and a Cowboys win! This trip just made us all even more excited for our after Christmas ski trip! What a wonderful Thanksgiving break!!
