Spring Baseball - Finally!

Our first two games rained out and then last week we had a bye, so today was FINALLY Grady's first baseball game.  He's lucky enough to be a Ranger again this season, and playing with some old friends, some soccer friends and new friends as well.  Richard is assistant coaching, and Cole and I are the cheerleaders.

Today was a GREAT day for a few reasons.  Grady has been sick all week, so sports this weekend wasn't looking promising.  Yesterday he got much better and today he seems to be officially on the mend.  We might be able to put the meds away?!?  (Do I even say it aloud?)  This season is really fun because the kids really know what they are doing and most have played before.  The weather was perfect!  A big surprise was being able to watch the game and not chase Cole.  He played with cars and ate snack nicely in my chair or the dirt the whole hour.  I was amazed!  Talk about a blessing!  A few older kids played with him ( I need to pay them in yummy snacks next time).  The greatest joy though was watching Grady do his thing.  He played first base (which was my position) and he made plays, caught the ball over and over again and knew just what to do.  He also played short stop and each time would look for the force out... so cute!  He got 3 really good hits and just had the best time.

Here are some pictures of our first of many successful games this season!  Go Rangers!!!

  1. How fun! I will be so excited for Beckett to start sports. It looks like Mr. Grady is a natural athlete. And he looks adorable in his uniform!
