A Super Crazy-Fun Weekend!

Well, we needed a weekend fun of F-U-N after the last week of terrible chest colds and breathing treatments for sweet Cole for the very first time...

Friday night we started out with a FAMILY Date Night.  Yes, you read it right.  Our whole family went on a date.  We chose an early dinner (and some margs and beer)on the patio at Blue Goose and then water play in the fountains, and ice cream from Ben and Jerry's to top off the most perfect evening.  The kids always do better eating outside.  More noisy, less mess, and lots to look at.  Not to mention both of our little Tex-Mex babes love Mexican food.  Who doesn't?!?

I will never understand why all kids like to sit on the jet-stream of water...?!?

Little Cole was a wild-man at the fountains...

After we got the kids in bed, I met Michelle and Tiffany for a girls night movie.  We saw What to Expect When You're Expecting.  It was good, for what it was.  Mostly, I enjoyed laughing with the girls... and remembering being pregnant.  I LOVED being pregnant, both times.  I had very easy pregnancies, I was super lucky.  I miss the first ultrasounds, first kicks,  finding out the sex, etc.  It's all so fun.  I was reminded by my sweet husband that I still have a baby... this is true.  Moving on...

Saturday night we got a babysitter for Cole and G, R and I headed to Frisco to see FC Dallas play.  Little did I know that we would also get to play tons of free kids games and get a front row seat to some X-Games exhibition stuff!  G is an X-Games freak (insert Mommy cringe) and he L-O-V-E-D getting to see these crazy guys bike and skateboard on the giant ramp.  It was pretty cool, I have to admit.

Grady got autographs from all four of the guys!
We'll have to watch for them this Summer during the X-Games!

G also got his picture taken with one of the cheerleaders.  Daddy made me put this picture on here.  Hmmmm... not too sure how I feel about this picture.  I kinda felt sorry for her because she looked cold.  Somebody get her a shirt... and some pants... please.

Grady loved watching the game.  He wore his really cool shirt and got to eat lots of junk.  What else does a 5 year old want to do?!?

It was a super fun night and we plan to go back sometime soon!

Sunday night the Vaughn Family came over for some slip-n-slide action, sandbox play and grillin.  Fun was had by all.  These kids just love each other... and they are hysterical.  G is going to be sad when he and Bro are not in the same class (or together) for the first time in 4 years.  We will keep in touch however because Grady and Kate are getting married... according to Kate!  Love that girl!!!  They will have some wild and crazy, adorable kids!  I think they even kissed tonight... (insert G rolling his eyes)

Countdown til Summer -----  drum-roll please -------8 days -- WAAAAHHHHOOOOOOOOO!!!
