So I've got a bunch of random "
stuff" floating around my head. The last week has been a bluuurrr! February always seems to be a crazy-busy month. Anyway... I'm going to break this up by family member to help keep it all straight. (side-note-- I had to rename this post Sunday "
Stuff" because I realized how many times I used the word
stuff in this post... seems I need some revamping of my vocabulary!)
The boys watching golf... or was it basketball? Maybe both?!?
Cole
-Cole has now learned the fine art of carrying
stuff around in his mouth so he has two free arms to do other things with... multi-tasking at it's best I'd say!
-He has also started regularly throwing
stuff out of the crib most nights
-Little Man has also decided that bottles are for the birds and real food is it... we are lucky to have gotten 10 ounces a day the last week... oh well!
-Cole has also learned how to throw a tantrum... baby-style. If you take his
stuff, he gets really angry and scream-cries at you until #1 he forgets or #2 you give it back. It's kinda funny at this point... won't be by next week though.
My happy little walker!
Look at that face! Stinker doesn't like to smile for the camera.
Tacos - yum!
Grady
-Grady went to a fabulous Birthday Party for his good friends Brody and Kate at Paradise Pond this weekend. He had a super time! The theme was, "
May the Force be With You and May All Your Dreams Come True." Michelle outdid her self yet again... everything was super cute from the invitations to the cake and party favors! I wish I was that talented! :)
Check out this super cute party here!
-Grady continues to be a Lego freak... I'm telling you - morning, noon and night! He and Daddy have made this their boy thing and I think it's very sweet to see the two of them working together. Richard is so patient and Grady is getting really good at putting them together! There is lego stuff everywhere... which leads me to needing some organization (see bottom).
-He has also told me that his field trip this year was going to be to Africa?!? What? I told him that I wasn't so sure about that. I asked him what they would be doing there and he told me they would be running with the cheetahs. I suppose his imagination has gotten the best of him and he is just thinking about Africa because Mimi and Papa are going there on a trip this May! He wanted to go with them... wild animals are his thing. Seriously, he could probably run the tour better than most!
Grady is somewhere up there...
Their precious cakes!
The birthday boy!
Present from Uncle Craig...Possibly a future Gator???
Laura (me!)
-I need a haircut, I mean BAD! Reasons I haven't gone -- It costs $$$, we are busy during the week and weekend, it takes 30 minutes to get there, and it's tax season, and it takes 20 minutes to fix instead of 40. I have been wearing it curly and kinda scrunched to work and have decided that I might want to grow it out... and it has been nice to pull it back some. Those who know me, are laughing out loud right now. I have tried to grow out my hair about 14 times in the last 2 years. I last about 3-4 days and then call Kim. I am thinking that it's a sign I need to grow it out because her number mysteriously disappeared from my phone.... huh. We'll see how long I last!
-Ever since I was preggo with Cole I have craved shellfish. I started eating it when I was pregnant and still love it. The weird thing about this is I have never liked fish, like my whole first 34 years of life?!? The other night Richard and I went out to celebrate Valentine's Day (2 weeks late - better late than never) and we ate at Patrizio's. We shared shellfish ravioli and crab cakes... YUMMO! We also saw Wanderlust and I was not too impressed. :(
Richard
-Tax Season - enough said.
-We went to IKEA today because I had been totally bugging and pestering wanting some organization for our upstairs playroom. Mission accomplished! My sweet husband spent the day searching through IKEA with me and then putting together the first couple of the shelving units we bought to help organize all of the kids crap stuff.
Well, there you have it. Random, scattered, busy, but always FUN! I LOVE my life with MY BOYS!
