Whew... What a Weekend!

Dallas Arboretum...

Our whirlwind started not really on the weekend but I'm going to throw it in anyway!  We went for a trip to the Dallas Arboretum.  It was beautiful (as usual) and we had a wonderful time!  Peter Rabbit was a special guest...

 

Our trip wouldn't be complete without a roll down the big hill!

We wandered around for a few hours, had a picnic lunch, took our shoes off and ran around in the soft grass, and layed out a blanket for Cole so he could stretch out and eat for the 45 minutes he was awake.  The Arboretum has to be one of my very favorite places in Dallas.  The weather couldn't have been prettier and I loved spending the day with both my sweet boys!

On to Main Street Days in Grapevine...

I had never been to this but basically it was a craft fair and carnival all mixed into one event.  There were rides...

Again, the weather was perfect, we had a wonderful time experiencing something new and spending time together!

On to the Forth Worth Zoo...

Sunday morning we skipped church and headed to the zoo.  Again, beautiful weather and we had an excellent time.  I'm starting to think we might need a weekend from our weekend...  Ha!

Lots more animals and then a picnic lunch... Look... Cole is awake, well... a milk-coma state counts right?!?  Yes, here he is... 30 good minutes of awake Cole!  His favorite part of the day was his bottle!  He looks so much like Grady at this age in this picture...

And next to this fish?  For two years he hasn't wanted his picture taken... Now he wants it taken next to snakes and fish... Goodness gracious I love my little weirdo!!!

On to Sunday evening fun with great friends....

Sunday evening the Vaughn family came over for dinner and playtime to wrap up our exciting weekend.  We are so lucky and blessed to have such a great friends who live so close!  It's always good old-fashioned crazy fun when these kids (and grown-ups) are together!!!
