Weekend Randomness!

What a wonderful weekend! We have Daddy back and we couldn't be having more fun as a family of four!!! Cole is 6 weeks old now... He has grown and changed so much already, amazing how time flies when your having fun!

Our weekend started a little early when Friday morning I decided to keep Grady home and head to the zoo... With both kiddos and all by myself.  The weather was beautiful and I wanted to surprise my sweet Grady with a fun day, especially while Cole is so little and easy to just take along for the ride!

Cole slept like a rockstar except for 1 meal, mid-day which worked out perfectly because I had packed a picnic lunch for us!  Grady was shocked when I told him where we were going and was super excited, as always to see the animals.  This kid is an animal-expert and LOVES to read about any wild animals, watch the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, and give us animal facts constantly.  As you can imagine, the Zoo is one of our favorite places!  It ended up being a very fun day... minus the crowds!  Here are some pictures from our day...

The elephants are Grady's very favorite animal!
G really enjoyed his time running from 1 dinosaur exhibit to the next. The zoo has this special exhibit going until July... Lucky us with our little dinosaur lover!

Brave boy petting the SNAKE... he even asked if he could hold it and was disappointed when the lady told him no!
Another favorite... carousel ride!
This cracked me up... Grady kept telling me he would check the map and then announce, "Next stop ______!"  Funny boy...
He must already sense I am terrible with directions and maps!
More dinos...

On Saturday one of Grady's good friends, Ava, turned 4 and we headed to a local park for some birthday fun!  All of Grady's friends from Stephanie's house were there and the kids had a wonderful time!
Happy 4th Birthday Ava!
This kid never stops... look at those red cheeks!
Grady and Jackson
What a great idea to get a picture of the boys holding their balloons... and it was cute until Brody's blew away and he started crying.  Well, Grady is a sympathy crier and Bro is his very best friend... so both boys were sobbing.  Somebody told them that Jesus would take care of the balloon up in the sky and Grady replied still sobbing, "Are you sure Jesus will come out of my heart and get the balloon and bring it back to Bro..."  Not really what we were going for but this is how a very literal 4 year old thinks... gotta love it!

We all went out to eat at Blue Goose -- yummo -- and then followed with wrestling in the grass by the fountains and ice cream at Nestle Tollhouse!

We had a wonderful time with great friends....
Didn't take any pictures myself but here are some I "borrowed" from Michelle's Blog -thanks Michelle!

When we got home Cole was hungry for a bottle and Grady saved the day... look at my precious, precious boys.  So sweet, life couldn't be better!
