MOVING!!!

So I couldn't help but title this blog "Moving" because it seems to be the theme around here... no, we're not moving again... but it was this time exactly a year ago when we did move from our first house in Flower Mound to Corinth.

We also "moved" from our old phones with no internet to new iphones.... a BIG splurge for us... we had been living in the "dark ages" for 30 year olds apparently.  Or at least that's what my friends kept saying.  Now I need to "move" in the direction of learning how to use the fancy phone!

We have been working on "moving" stuff out of the baby room and "moving" baby stuff in, I know... nothing like last minute!  We have 2 1/2 weeks until this little guy joins us and we are so very excited!  We painted last weekend, well Richard painted and I watched and cheered him on, and this morning I decorated the letters for his wall with modge-podge (sp?) and fun colored scrapbook paper.  The color scheme is tan, green, chocolate and black with lots of different patterns and textures -- kind of a natural-organic look.  I'll post pictures of his very cute room sometime soon!  We have also bought the very few things we needed for his room -- a clock, CD player, curtain rod, etc.  WES had a Diaper Wall Shower for us last week so we are stocked with diapers and wipes!  Richard even put the crib together as few nights ago and I got all the bedding on... it's all coming together!!!  We will be "moving" from a family of 3 to a family of 4 very soon!

Speaking of baby... he is really "movin" around inside of me now and will be "movin" out pretty soon!

Over Christmas Break we "moved" from Richard's 2 door Tacoma to a new Honda Pilot... Richard loved that truck and would keep it forever but it can't hold 2 car seats.  So we are selling the truck, he took my 4 Runner and I have the Pilot... it is fabulous!  I love that new car smell!!!  This was a big decision for us because we have had no car payments for a few years now.  Buying a new car is pretty stressful, but kinda fun too!

Grady "moved" from weighing more than he was tall to being taller than he weighed at his 4 year old well check for the first time since he was 3-4 months old!  Our "little" guy is 46 inches tall (100%) and 45 pounds (95%) but his height to weight ratio is 70% percentile so he a a healthy kiddo.  He has been growing like a weed and the Dr. says he is perfect!

Grady will be "moving" out of Stephanie's wonderful care and into Pre-School this fall.  We are looking at places and doing our research right now though... lots of important decisions to make... Thank goodness she will be taking our new little guy so we can still see sweet Stephie everyday!

Richard is "moving" into Tax Season right now as well.... this is not so fun for either of us but it's the nature of the beast, or something like that, right?  Anyway, probably not fantastic timing seeing that we are having a baby here in the next couple of weeks.  Hey, we work best under pressure anyway and in another 7 weeks it will all be past us, piece of cake... (nothing like positive self-talk)!

My mom will be "moving" in when the baby is born... not really, but thankfully she is coming to stay for a few weeks to help out with cooking, cleaning and Grady.  Have I mentioned lately that we LOVE Mimi (my mom)!!!

And finally here are some pictures from when we went to see The Imagination "Movers" a few weeks ago with the Vaughn Family!  The boys had a wonderful time!!!  We even got to see Choo-Choo Soul Perform and met Genevieve.  She is as sweet as she is pretty!

Here's the whole crew walking in...
Kate, Grady and Brody

And here's Scott (Grady's favorite) and Rich (Brody's favorite) Movers on stage!
Choo-Choo Soul Performing

What a great first concert for Grady... he had a super-fun time!
Matching shirts!
Meeting Genevieve from Choo-Choo Soul

I LOVE this picture of the boys.  They were actually in time-out for "moving" around too close to the parking lot so they decided to make good use of their time by reading the hand-out from the concert... too cute!

And there you have it!  Lots of "Moving" going on right now... lots of new and exciting things just around the corner.  Thank goodness we have wonderful family and friends to help us with all of the changes and help us to remember to breathe, have faith and laugh through it all!
