Cole - Flag Football and Soccer

Cole decided the fall that he wanted to play Flag Football, just like his big brother Grady.  It also worked out that his best buddy Drew played for a team with a bunch of nice kids and families and his dad was a coach.

He LOVED that his team was the Cowboys!  He also loved chewing on his mouth guard!  Ha
Cole is fast, so he got that ball and scored lots of touchdowns and extra points!
Hes' also very used to running away from his older brother and playing tag... which helps!

I'm not sure what happened here but he was thrilled at every game.  In fact, so much that he didn't want to leave early to head to soccer when we had conflicts.

Coach Trevor, Kent and the other dads did an awesome job with 10 Kindergarten boys!  Yikes... the energy level!
Trophy time!  Cole's team won all their games but 1 during the season and got 2nd place in a very exciting playoff game.  He can't wait to play again next fall!
Cole played soccer this fall with Parker's mom, Ms. Valeri as his coach and mom as an assistant coach.  We were the Wizards!
The boys played hard all season and had a good time!
This pretty much sums up their personalities!
Sweet boy is great as a defender but doesn't really like to be in the middle of the beehive.  He hangs back and waits for the ball to come out and then goes after it.  He's a very good dribbler and smart!

LOVE him!

Beginning of School and Fall Sports

It's always bittersweet to start a new school year.
End of summer is hard but new adventures are always FUN!
I was extremely excited for this year because I finally have both of my babies at school with me!!!

First Day of School, Wellington Elementary School, 2016
Grady - 4th Grade Mrs. Hall/Mrs. Brookbank
Cole - Kindergarten - Ms. Burson
Me - First Grade - 18 years teaching - 1st Grade, Spanish Immersion
 First Grade Team 2016-2017

Grady keeps covering more and more of that sign the taller he grows!

Trip to Barnes and Noble to pick out some books!
Side note on Cole so I don't forget - Cole taught himself to read.  I mean we read every night but I noticed him mouthing words one day this summer and I asked him what he was doing.  He told me he was reading and so I asked him to read it aloud for me.  (Now, I knew he could read a little but NOT like really reading.) He told me he liked it better in his head but he would and so... holy cow.  That kid can read.  Like read basically anything he grabs.  He just knows the words and don't ask me how.  It's crazy!  He loves all kinds of books, fiction and non-fiction.   His favorites right now are any animal books,  the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series, anything from Mo Willems and the School Teacher from the Black Lagoon.
Back to school hair cuts... handsome boys!

Grady joined a new baseball team, the Rattlers with Coach Vaughn... as in The Vaughns... as in his best friend and friends from schools team.  He could not be happier and I'd say the rest of us agree!
(Also, I LOVE the gray pants!)

The Rattler boys from Wellington!
Grady is learning to catch and he loves the challenge!
 Finally playing together again!

This was a baseball swim party!
We went to another Rangers game and got David Murphy's autograph.  He was so nice!

One free weekend, we ventured into Dallas to explore one afternoon and had some good family time.

Cole's soccer season started back with Parker's mom, coach Valeri as head coach and me as an assistant coach!  Good times!
Go Wizards!
Cole and Grady are obsessed with Snap Chat filters!
Grady and Cole also both started Flag Football.
Go Colts and Cowboys!
Cole was lucky enough to get on Drew's team!
Grady is playing with some baseball friends!
Between 4 fall sports and school starting I think we are going to be BUSY people this fall!
Busy and very blessed!

End of Summer FUN!

Colton had his 6th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and Cole and Grady had an awesome time!

We visited Bahama Bucks quite a bit this summer...
We also had pool time with friends!
Our season passes to Hawaiian Falls were a HUGE success!
Cole even brought Drew along!
The life of teachers' kids... I had to head up to school a little bit to get my room back in working order and my two helpers were actually, kind of helpers this year!
We watched lots and lots of Rangers baseball!
We went to a game or two as well.  This one included lots of rain...
Cole was not thrilled but at least it was cooler!
Rain delay... they look super excited right?
Richard and Grady got the biggest hamburger known to man.

 Grammy came along too!
I promise, the boys made the X!

 Shoe shopping because #kidsfeetneverstopgrowing
 Meet the Teacher!
The Olympics were this summer too and we watched them non-stop pretty much!
The kids LOVED it!
The Vaughn Family had us over for an end-of-summer bash!
Boy have these kids grown up!

Gosh, this summer has flown by!
Off to new adventures!
