The end of summer makes me sad... like really, reeaaalllllyy sad. BUT, it also means the beginning of new things. New sports, new teams, new classes, new teachers, and new friends. So while we are mourning the end of summer, we are also celebrating new and exciting things.
Cole is playing soccer and he loves it. He's on the Dragons and his coach is great. His little cleats and shin guards are so cute!
Grady is playing for our city select baseball team this fall - The 9U Crushers. He's super excited and working really hard. He practices 3 days a week and has some pitching lessons thrown in there as well. It should be a very fun and competitive season.
Cole also started pre-kindergarten. This is just surreal to me...
This was his first day. No tears, no hug. Just "Bye" and off he ran. I'm so incredibly blessed that he was so ready and happy to go to school. I'm not gonna lie though... a little part of my heart is crushed that he's to this stage. There were tears, happy tears for the most part.
The day we took Cole to school I had earned time off and so we met Michelle, Brody and Kate for one last hurrah at Main Event. The kids had a great time!
I had one last girls night of the summer. Fun was had, clothes were bought, drinks were consumed. I love these ladies!
Inservice started and my team was back to our normal shenanigans. We had lots of really exciting meetings (ha) but managed to squeeze in some fun as well. One day our PE coaches organized a grown-up field day with Camp Gladiator and various games and it was so much fun! We won a game called Poo-Pong!
Grady met his teachers for this next year. He's so excited to have TWO teachers. I'm not ready for him to be on the "big-kid" side of the school yet! Mrs. Jakubek
And, this lady made this week possible. I called and she came. Mimi is just the BEST! I'm in slight depression because I got spoiled seeing her so much this summer. She watched the kids, cooked, cleaned, did laundry, and literally picked up the pieces as Richard and I flew in and out of the house and raced to all of the back to school/sport practices and meetings. We're so blessed to have her! Love you mom!
