Grady- 7 and a 1/2

Dear Grady,

Believe it or not, I totally forgot that you turned 7 1/2 last month.  Sorry, buddy.  Typically we're in Utah and it just plain slipped my mind until the other day when I looked at you walking down the hall from behind and I barely recognized you. You've gotten so grown up, it makes me so  proud  and sad at the same time.  If time could just stop...

You're in second grade and loving it.  You like to pretend that you don't, but then tell me all kinds of funny or interesting stories each day.  You're very strong in Reading, Writing, Spelling and Science, but lack confidence in math even though you're pretty good at it.  

You're playing baseball and football this fall.  You're on the Diamondbacks again this season playing with your friends, having a good time.  Flag Football is a first for you and you are absolutely loving it!  They've got you playing quarterback and you're really very good, especially for never playing before.  You're first game is this weekend and you're playing for the Raiders.

Food - pizza, any kind of meat

TV Show - sports, nature, Ninja Turtles, Chima, Ninjago

Movie - Lego Movie

Clothes - Nike or Under Armor or anything sports related with sayings on it 

When I say you've grown, you seriously have.  Still built like a horse.  You weigh 70 pounds and are at least 55 inches tall.  You are wearing a size Medium shirt and size 8/10 pants- eek!  You wear a size 5 shoes.  We'll be shopping in the men's shoe department in the Winter.  Good grief... 

Grady, you are a super big brother.  Cole adores you.  You all wrestle like crazy and call it Bring it on Brother.  He copies your every word and move.  That's pretty big power...

You are still a snuggler and have a sensitive heart.  You are a hard worker, good helper and deep thinker.  You're smart, creative and a perfectionist.  You're messy and funny and we love you more than ice cream and guacamole.
