You are a big six years old today and I can hardly believe it. You have changed so much over the past year, and if possible Daddy I love you more and more each day that passes.
One Day Old
I love how you have transitioned beautifully into Kindergarten. I love your reading, artwork and writing... talk about a year making a huge difference. I love how funny you are, and how you get our sarcasm. I love what an awesome big brother you have become. You are so good to Cole and he adores you. I love that sometimes a hour can pass and you will be so engrossed in your playing, reading, or lego building that I have to go and check on you to make sure you are okay. I love your big, kind heart, and how sometimes you are so thoughtful and sensitive when your friends or I am sad or frustrated. I love how much time we get to spend together this year... you and I drive to school together each day and because you are two doors down and across the hall I get to see you constantly. I love that you still hug me in public and give me big kisses. I love that you are so "into" sports and not only do you want to watch pretty much any sport that is on, but you want to play them all as well. I love that you constantly question everything, even when it drives me a little crazy. I love that you stand up for yourself and for your friends. I love how you are fearless when it comes to trying new things. I love that you talk about Jesus being in your heart and how you raised your hand this Christmas and told the whole class that Jesus' birth was the reason for Christmas. I love how excited you get about science and the world. I love how you listen and take instruction well, and care about always doing your best. I love how passionately you do things, sometimes so much so that your emotions get the best of you. I love that you recognize strengths in others, compliment them and then strive to be like them in whatever strength you admire. I love your smile and dimples. You really are such a sweet, smart boy and just make me smile every time I think about you.
ONE Year Old
You have grown a bunch physically this year as well. You remain just about the tallest in your class, possibly the tallest? You are about 50 inches tall and about 54-56 pounds. You wear a size small in shirts, a 6-7 in pants (you need the 7 for length but they are too big in the waist) and wear a size 2 shoes.
TWO Years Old
You still will eat pretty much any food except for grilled cheese and anything else with melted American cheese. Lately you only want to eat healthy foods, probably because you hear us talking about calories and diets! You are funny... You still drink milk, water and juice and don't really like soda. You love all fruit(berries are your fav), most veggies (broccoli is a fav) and any meat. You like pizza and pasta and shrimp. You love any breakfast foods, and really enjoy our big breakfasts on the weekends. You love salad, which we have as a side every night - you love Sun Dried Tomato dressing. You are a meat and potatoes kinda guy and would prefer to have your food separated vs. in a casserole type form. You bring your own lunch to school most days but buy on pizza day. We are so lucky - you have never been picky and have always been a good eater.
THREE Years Old
You are sports obsessed. This winter/spring you insisted on playing basketball, soccer and baseball. You also want to be on a swim team this summer and told me a while back you want to take more golf lessons. We'll see. You love to watch any sport your Dad puts on TV. The X-Games was a recent favorite. You ask me about once a week when you can learn to snowboard! You are a fantastic skier. We are going back to Utah for spring break so that you and Papa can hit the slopes again! The PE coaches told me the other day that you were very athletic and competitive (shocker) and that I should put you in sports. Ha!
FOUR Years Old
You love all technology, and are better at it than I am! You love the Wii, your itouch, and the computer. Your favorite shows are Ninjago, Gator Boys, sports, animal programs like Nat Geo Wild and a new show called Chima that is a becoming an obsession. Your favorite website is the Lego Star Wars site. Your favorite Wii game is Lego Star Wars. .
FIVE Years Old
Speaking of legos... your favorite toys are legos. Star Wars, Ninjago, Lego City and now you are asking for Chima lego sets. You also collect Star Wars figures and Avengers stuff. You love to play with balls though most of all... you are always dribbling, throwing or kicking something!
SIX Years Old (and 100th Day of School!)

You are a great big brother! Even though you are 4 years older than Cole, you make a point to try to play with him. Mostly this includes rough-housing, which is good for Cole because he is a wild-man. You laugh with him and talk to him and he worships you... you are his favorite person on earth. I pray you two will be the best of friends as you grow older.
Milestones... You lost your first tooth, learned to ride your bike and to pump on the swings.
Goose, you are just the best big boy anybody could ever ask for. We are so proud of you and love you to the ends of our fingers...
Love,
Mom and Dad
What a great kid! Happy birthday to your big boy. I love looking at his pics through the years. How does time go so fast?
