Cole's First Birthday Party, ELMO Style!

Saturday evening we had The Fackler family over to help celebrate Cole's first birthday.  We kept it just family and pretty low-key this year, but I still decorated with one of his favorite things... ELMO!  It's so funny, because both of my kids have loved ELMO at about 1-1 and a 1/2 years of age... and with NO encouragement from us.  We don't watch too much TV or the videos, we have one ELMO doll and a few books - that's it.  Apparently that is all it takes for an obsession to begin?!?  Anyway, here are a few pictures of our WONDERFUL evening!

Our guests were:  Grammy Elaine, Aunt Lana and Uncle Curt, Uncle Brian and Aunt Christina and Mommy, Daddy & Grady

I made this cake and let me tell you... I'm pretty proud of myself.  It was really simple to make and turned out WAY cute!  Big Brother even helped blend the ingredients together and sampled the cake and icing as well...  :)

Cole was a happy little camper the entire evening!

We had hamburgers, fruit salad, a green salad, french fries and an ELMO cake!

We are so thankful for such great family.
