An Early Christmas... MY NEW CAMERA!!!

Well Christmas came early for me this year.... I got a brand new fancy CAMERA!!!  A Nikon D3100 to be exact.  Grady was my test subject yesterday (just as he was coming down with a terrible cold/cough...) but he was a trooper and actually tried to smile "natural" for me.  I also talked about gross/silly things to get a real laugh out of him.  What worked best was me telling him that a big elephant in a pink tu-tu jumped up and down on Papa's car and pooped.  I'm not proud, but let me tell you.... it worked!  Because he was feeling kinda yucky I had to go to extreme measures... his eyes were still kinda puffy and the nose kept running but I got some great pictures.  Here are a couple.  I have wanted a "fancy" camera for 15 years now so this was a WONDERFUL present from my super hubby, Richard.  He also had a very good weekend... he got his second deer (a buck) and will be joining us after being gone for three weekends straight.  We have really missed Daddy!  Hopefully this will be the first of many great pictures with my lovely new toy!!!
