Turkey Day Vaca-- 2015

Thanksgiving 2015 started off with lots of excitement... We thought we bought plane tickets for Saturday and realized on Thursday we were actually flying out Friday!!!  Which meant massive rearranging of plans- get a sub, write sub plans, change the kennel stay, get all laundry done and packed, Richard needed to wrap up work a day earlier than anticipated, etc.  It also meant that after 24 hours of panic and rearranging we would also get an extra day of vaca- score!  Once we got to the airport and got this...
and this...
all was right in the world!

The kids are awesome travelers- they've flown so much that I'm pretty sure they could manage without us!  Ha!  As long as they've got technology they're good to go.
Once we landed and Mimi came to get us we headed straight for the beach.  The beach in Oct/Nov is my absolute favorite time to go.  No sweating, no sunscreen = heaven!
We spent every day, including Thanksgiving, at the beach in fact, except our Magic Kingdom, Disney day.

We love Mimi

Papa inspecting
Grady made elaborate castles and traps

R buried Goose and we sprinkled goldfish on him- the birds landed right on him!
Cole wrote "mom" in the sand
Some days were cooler and windy but everyday on the beach is pretty perfect.

My goofballs
Baseball on the beach

There was a full moon while we were there that just lit up the sky- gorgeous!
On Thanksgiving day we (Grady, Craig, Julie and I) actually ran a 5K.  It rained on us a bit but we got to see some beautiful rainbows.  It was Grady's first and he did awesome!

Gator love- Uncle Craig was proud
Richard brought Cole to do a 1/2 mile fun run- that lil stinker was so fast!
One day we went to the Magic Kingdom.  We had a wonderful time even with the insane crowds!!
The weather was perfect - high of 60.
Pluto!
Space Mountain- only a 2 hour wait- eek

Cole was so excited to drive the car by himself

I think Daddy is going to have to teach our boys to drive...

Teacups with a photobomb of Mimi in the background
It's a small world - one of my favs
Haunted Mansion is a fav too!  Where is Grady?!?
We love waiting in lines, we love waiting in lines...
This is appropriate
This is soooo our kids personalities!  Grady's like "seriously" and Cole is all "rock-on"

Cole was a rockstar - only 1 meltdown with no naps or stroller - he lasted until 10 pm
My sweet big boy rode with me on Big Thunder Mountain and laughed as I screamed the whole way.  He's our deep thinking- dare devil, always has been.
Cole rode for the first time and liked it- he's our kamakaze kid but more timid at the same time.  He reported that it "was too fast" but he liked it.  Ha!
The castle at night is amazing.

Beautiful!
The electrical parade is one of my favorite memories as a kid- I'm so glad they still do it and use lots of the same stuff!
Disney was magical!

The rest of our trip was equally fun, relaxing, and just plain awesome.

Cole finally learned to swim in the hot tub!
We had dessert every night- key lime pie and ice cream
Hangin with Uncle Craig
Wrestling, snuggling... repeat!

Fro-yo fun!
These two melt my heart...
Thank you Mimi and Papa for another fabulous Florida Vacation!  We are thankful for you!!!
