Christmas Break, Week 1

Now that Christmas break is here we are actually able to breathe while partying!  Ha!

Friday night we drove to Garland to see a living Nativity and eat dinner with Grammy Elaine.  The kids got to decorate cookies (again)- we'll just call December "cookie" month.
Long story short our Elf happened to gift the kids 4 rockin seats at the Moviehouse and Eatery (thanks MV) to see the new Star Wars movie on Saturday morning.  It was at 9 am so we had pancakes and bacon while we watched.  It was absolutely AWESOME!!

Later that same day Grady had a paintball birthday party.  He had a great time and only left with a few bruises!
That night we had a Christmas party with baseball friends.  It was a fantastic time, as usual!
Sunday morning we took the kids to the Galleria to see the huge tree and finish up Christmas shopping.

Sunday night Uncle Jerry and Auntie Val came in town.  So, the boys all drove back to Garland to have dinner and fun.  They had a great time!
Sunday also was our 12th anniversary!  We plan to celebrate later in the week.  I wouldn't want to do "life" with anybody else!
The boys have insisted on sleepovers with each other every night- it's pretty sweet!
Monday the weather was just beautiful and unseasonably warm for December so I took the kids to the park and we had a picnic lunch.
Monday night we went with friends to see  Ice at the Gaylord.  It was such a good time!
Snowballs

Shocked that they're on the nice list...

Tuesday, Kristen and I took all 4 boys to wander the mall at Northpark and see the Trains.  It was crazy fun!

This picture cracks me up.  I wonder what they were discussing...
Tuesday night after dinner we got on our pajamas and got Starbucks and drove around looking at Christmas lights.  I'm not sure if it was the warm drink or exhaustion from all our fun but both kids were out in 30 minutes flat!
Christmas is just 2 days away.  We are all SUPER excited!!  Let the Christmas traditions continue...

December is Here!

December has arrived which means our Elf, Smitty made his appearance.  The kids always have fun waking up to see what shenanigans he's been up too...

It also means time to order Christmas cards.  I love the way they turned out this year!

It also means our annual WES fundraiser at Barnes and Noble.  I love this event and reading my favorite Christmas books to my kiddos.
Speaking of school, I got nominated as our schools Teacher of the Year this year. My students were so excited!
My team had a mini congrats party for me- so sweet!

I got to be Mommy and helped the room moms decorate Cole's school one evening.  It looked like a winter wonderland!  We LOVE his school!

Grady's end of season baseball party was at Amazing Jakes.  His coaches this season were awesome!  He had lots of fun and can't wait until spring.

December also means baking 26 pans of Pioneer Woman cinnamon rolls for gifts- it also means our house smells heavenly.
The trees finally turned and the colors were beautiful this year!
I added a new wall of all my Christmas signs this year and I LOVE it!  My Mom and Grammy made a couple of these so I love that I have them on display.
December also means Christmas movies and snuggles.
It also means lots of fun artwork coming home from school.  Cole is starting to read and write and I love all of his little projects!

This one says "Rudolph" and "storm"

This one was from Thanksgiving but I couldn't leave it out.
December also means new traditions- Friends-Mas!
We had a wonderful time with friends we hardly ever get to see anymore- life is busy!
The kids decorated cookies and had a super time!

Cole's was something else!
We also went to see (sleepy) Santa at Bass Pro and played games.

We ran in to school friends also!

We had Grinch Day and pajama day at school.

We also had Holiday parties!

We love December traditions!  Next up, Winter Break!
