February is flying by

Mimi came to visit and this is the only picture I took-boo! We went to an antique store and Grady found a gem!
Hat Day at school and lil bro joined in on the fun.
A great basketball game- coach Greg is awesome!!

2 hours of fun for the kids, 1 hour nap for mom and I think my IQ dropped a good 20 points
Date night!  Mi Dia and a movie.
Been friends with Steph for almost 20 years- love her!  We must get together more often.
"Creative" block play...
Got Grady's George Washington project done early- woohoo!
Silly-billy!  We were lucky enough to get a couple snow/ice days.
This meant lots of baking.  Toffee cookies- yum!
More chalk painting on our bedroom furniture!
A little ice play as well!
We went back to school Wednesday and it was cold and there were some flurries. It didn't stop us from picking up Grady's new frames... Does he not look so handsome and so grown up?!? First thing out of his mouth- Everything is soooo clear!  He's worn them pretty much every second of the day since then.  I guess this answers the question of whether he really needed them!
Thursday morning I woke up smelling skunk... weird, right?!?  Well, as we were pulling out of the driveway we discovered where the smell was coming from... dead and a few yards from our front door.  So bizarre.  Thank goodness for animal control!
Friday hit and the snow started at about 9:00 am and didn't fully stop until early Saturday morning.  The kids were bonkers and we were released a hour early.
It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get home but we made it!

Sweet Molly loves the snow!
Have I mentioned that Cole's playing Blastball this Spring?  It should be interesting and super fun!
Today we spent most of the day in our pajamas.  I plan on most of the same tomorrow!  Tuesday it's supposed to be near 70 and then Wednesday it's supposed to snow again.  Crazy Texas weather!

Cole and Drew's 4th Birthday Party - NINJA POWER

Cole's 4th birthday isn't until March but when Kristen mentioned that it would be fun to do a joint party at the Arc for the boys (since they were friends with mostly the same kids) we jumped on it!

The theme was NINJA POWER - Ninja Turtles for Cole and Power Rangers for Drew.  I had fun taking pictures of these two before the big day for party favors.  They are so, so funny and we are very blessed with their sweet friendship!

The cake was as yummy as it was cute!

The planning/decorating part is always my favorite.  I get really stressed and nervous the day of but I swear I could be a party planner in another life.  Kristen had the best ideas and we had fun planning together!

There was lots and lots of wrestling and running and yelling and wild-boy fun!

These kids are so blessed with such a good group of friends (and we are blessed to be friends with their parents).

 My goofball!

He got good practice blowing out the candles for his big day next month!

This kid melts my heart.  Happy 4th birthday party day sweet Cole Merritt.  We LOVE you!

Grady's 8th Birthday Party and a Game Truck

On Grady's actual birthday we kept it pretty low key.  We picked up donuts for the class, Daddy came and brought Grady his favorite lunch, Subway, and was the mystery parent reader and then he had basketball practice that night.
He had a GREAT day!  The next morning was a basketball game and his party with friends so it worked out well.

This kid has been wanting a BB gun since he was 3 I think.  He's already been shooting in the back yard and hasn't shot his eye out yet!

For Grady's actual birthday party with friends we had a Game Truck come to our house.  It was so much fun for the kids! They were completely entertained for an hour and a half and we did snacks and cake.  He LOVED it!

He wanted a football themed birthday party.  It was so easy and fun.  I didn't get any pictures of the favors or decorations, but it was soooo Grady!

I can't believe my big boy is 8 years old.  Time, please slow down!
