The colors this Fall in our area were the prettiest I remember them. The kids had been begging to rake up the leaves and then jump in them. Free entertainment... score! We spent about a hour one evening, while Daddy was out of town hunting, doing just that.

Snow, Singing, Super Heroes and Celebration
We had our first snow of the season really early this year- Monday, Nov. 10th! We were praying for a snow/ice day but no such luck.
Grady's class and the other 2nd graders performed at the PTA Meeting. They were so cute!
Cole is currently obsessed with Ninja Turtles and he was absolutely ecstatic when I bought him these new underwear.
Friday was super hero super responsible student dress up day at school. It was super fun!
Grady's baseball team had their end of season party at Main Event. Once Grady saw his friends he pretty much disappeared for the night but Daddy had lots of fun with Cole!

A Weekend Full of Celebration
The last month or two have been interesting, to say the least, so with everything back to our "normal" we partied hard this weekend!
It started Friday night with our fam heading to Grimaldis, Home Goods and TCBY to celebrate my birthday. Pizza, ice cream and shopping... come on now... my very favorite things with my very favorite people!
Saturday morning Cole and I met his BFF Drew for Einstein Bagels and then we headed over to The Arc to celebrate a joint birthday party for Dex and Duke.
The party consisted of lots of running, wrestling, hitting a piƱata and junk food... Cole was in heaven.
Daddy and I got a last minute babysitter and went out to Cheesecake Factory, shopping and to see Gone Girl to celebrate both of our birthdays. It was greatness! Wow- Gone Girl was crazy and so, so entertaining. I'm still thinking about it...
Today we woke up to rain and 38. So, we took the boys to see Big Hero 6. Such a sweet, sweet movie! We loved it!
We got a bite to eat and spent some gift cards at Barnes and Noble. It's hard to say no to books!
I think we skipped right over Fall and smacked right into Winter. Brrr- it's freezing! There's a chance for snow tonight and we are planning to wear our pajamas backwards. Bring on the snow days!!!

D'Backs Baseball, Fall 2014
Fall baseball has come and gone and boy was it fun!
Grady, you played with the same team again, 3 seasons in a row now. Coach Weldon, Daddy, Coach Edgar, Coach Julio and Coach Miguel were just awesome, again. Patient, dedicated, hard working, funny and full of integrity are just a few of the words I would use to describe your coaches.
You've played with quite a few of the same boys now for a few seasons and you all have become great friends. In fact, you and Diego have played together for 5 seasons!
You have no idea how lucky you are to have coaches that care about you as a kid and a player, want you to grow in your baseball skills and have fun, and are all just good and honest people who really like to win but realize that winning isn't everything ... or maybe you do considering you wish you had practice every week night and beg to stay late to perfect your hitting, fielding or just goof off with the guys.
We had a great season, finishing in third place. Although, the title of third really does nothing in telling how much your team grew as a whole this season. 7U and 8U combined this fall and so there were a few kids on your team who had never hit a coach pitched ball before. You all were encouraging and accepting and all grew because of it. Your Daddy got all those kiddos hitting by mid season and it was really fun to see their excitement and love for baseball grow.
Grady, you played mostly first base this season again and rocked it. Your hitting was pretty spot on as well. I think you got 6 legit homeruns and pretty much got on base every single time you got up to bat. More importantly though, your confidence has grown and you are thinking constantly about what second play you can make or who you can throw out next. Another thing that amazes us is that you perform really well under pressure. In fact, your biggest hits and best plays are always during the most important times. That's pretty cool buddy!
Goose, what makes us happy is seeing you happy. Keep doing your baseball thing as long as you love it and we'll keep being your biggest fans!!!
