HAPPY NEW YEAR... IT'S 2011!!!

New Years Eve was so great!  We got to ring in the New Year with The Vaughns  and The Rabadeuxs and the night was filled with yummy food, Wii - Just Dance, fireworks (totally legal...) movies, lots of playtime and good friends! As you can see, the kids had some fun dancing, that's before the grown-ups took over...

Here is sweet Kate.  Isn't she just the cutest?
Playtime-- somehow the big boys ended up taking over Kate's pink grocery cart and pink car... interesting how that happens.
Here is sweet Jackson, going for a spin!
Just the three of us... not for much longer!
The "men" doing sparklers thanks to Justin!
Grady had so much fun with sparklers, but who doesn't?
Kate, Brody, Grady and Jackson and sparklers... we tried so hard to get them to all turn, look and smile... good enough!
He looks like he's casting a spell on me with this one...?
And all in bed to watch Kung Fu Panda and then Mater's Tall Tales.  Lots of playing, not much watching going on.  Imagine that!
When the kids are away, the grown ups will play, or something like that...
Just Dance was super fun...
I love Michelle's face here.
Now guess who in this picture was a dancer?
I was laughing so hard and moving so fast that I thought I might go into labor at any time... I need to remember this in another 7 weeks!
Okay, so here are the guys...  Us ladies were laughing so hard we were crying.  Notice I just said laughing, not laughing at...

These two were very serious about their moves!
Here was the fun "duet" of Justin and Michelle!
The boys were still up at Midnight... I couldn't believe it.  We had them come out to watch the ball drop and give kisses at the strike of 12.  They were pretty tired, but still had lots of fun.  Mostly because these two are just dying to spend the night at each others houses and felt like this was a little like it.

New Years at the Vaughn's was wonderful.   We always have so much fun together.  The kids aren't perfect, but we always laugh... maybe this is why we get along so well!?!

Well, it's mid-January now and I am finally posting so it's a little late for resolutions, etc.  Besides, who ever keeps them anyway?

I will tell you though what my HOPES for 2011 are...
 in no specific order:

* I hope for good health for all my family, friends and loved ones
* I hope that my little man ends up at a wonderful preschool next year where the teachers love him as much, and appreciate his energy, intelligence, sense of humor and sweetness as much as fabulous Mrs. Stephanie does
*I hope for a stress-free tax-season for Richard... big-time... well, one can hope
* I hope for a healthy delivery and Baby Boy Number 2 in March
* I hope our 50 red tulip bulbs take and we have a beautiful surprise in March
* I hope to continue this awesome school year, and wish all my kiddos the best with my long-term sub and next year
* I hope to be blessed with good friendships, old and new
* I hope to get rid of this cold, really soon
* I hope to find some new, easy, cheap, healthy, great recipes that everyone in the house will try, like and eat
* I hope we continue to grow spiritually and find a home at a church we love
* I hope Grady loves his Baby Brother and that he sees that Mommy and Daddy's hearts DO grow twice as much love, but that he will always be my Best "Big" Boy
* I hope I find a way to juggle my time and have strength to manage a newborn, 4 year old, a husband, house, 2 dogs and another full-time job... teaching and still find the pleasures in simple things
* I hope the 4 year old shots go "well"
* I hope to learn and try new things and be excited NOT nervous about them
* I hope to lose the baby-weight really fast... ha... ha...ha.... (I said hope)
* I hope to find the time to keep blogging and learn to post videos on here as well
* I hope Richard and I still find the time to go on dates and grow even closer to each other, even when life is busy
* I hope Grady isn't scared of Chuck E. Cheese at his B-Day party...
* I hope to embrace and accept change with open arms, most of the time
* I hope we don't have a fire drill early in the morning in 20-30 degree weather
* I hope The Office and Modern Family have really funny seasons
* I hope to see my parents and brother even more, I miss them terribly when we go more that 2 months or so
* I hope the Rangers have another good year... our favorite family hobby!
* And finally, I hope that our friends, families, co-workers, and loved ones are blessed beyond words and granted peace in stressful and/or trying situations and that love and laughter find a way into each and every day!!!

Here's to a HOPEFUL 2011!!!
