Basketball, Birthdays and Bass Pro

Grady has really enjoyed this basketball season.  He's on the Rams and plays for Upwards at a local church.  Aunt Lana and Grammy Elaine have come to watch our little star quite a few times.  He has two really young coaches and they are learning right along with the kids.  Good times!  He's great at defense and has made quite a few baskets.

On February 6th (Grady's actual 7th birthday) we had his party at Bass Pro.  It was GREAT!  He invited lots of friends from school and his other closest family friends were there as well.  The weather didn't really cooperate for fishing, but we ended up having a scavenger hunt and arcade play and everybody seemed to have a good time.  The BEST thing about this party was it was FREE...  Bass Pro is the best!

No birthday party for a boy was ever complete without some wrestling!

We did camping themed foods... hot dogs, potato chips, trail mix, and then a favorite -- cookie cake.  I also made goody bags with gummy fish, worms and bears.  We kept it simple!

Good friends...

These three... friends for more than 5 years.  LOVE them!

Family...

We LOVE this kid!  Happy birthday Grady-Goose!

What a Week!

Last week just after Grady's birthday party at Bass Pro, Cole and I went to his best friend, Drew's 3rd birthday party.  Spider-Man was the special guest and it was super fun!

Sunday we worked on Grady's 100's Day Project.  It was his idea and super awesome!

100 Gummy Bears

Tuesday was our schools big Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser for the Anerican Heart Association.  I had a day full of meetings so I took a few minutes out to go watch Goose have some fun.

Stations were set up all over the gym and the kids had a blast.

Wednesday night we headed to Mi Cocina for an early family Valentine's Day date.
My two valentines

Friday night was Date Night for Richard and I!  The Vaughn's had us over for a delicious meal and games.  We had a great time!!!  I'm hoping this becomes a tradition!  My belly was sore the next day due to laughter.

I love our friends!

It was a really busy week!  Saturday morning we had Grady's basketball game and then we headed out to do some shopping at Central Market and the weather was just beautiful.  We ate outside and the kids played while I shopped.  It was warm enough for shorts!

Cole is so funny.  Today he was pretending to talk on the phone and when I asked him who he was talking to he replied, "State Farm." This kid cracks me up!

Today Michelle and I took Grady and Brody to see the Lego Movie.  It was pretty good!  These two make me smile.

Whew- it was a fun filled and busy week!
